I am after a stainless centre & rear exhaust for my 1.2 Bravo. Looking for something that is going to give it a bit more power but doesn't sound chavishly loud!
sportex is going to be the cheapest aftermarket , exhaust and it doesn't have to be the dtm style shown you can choose different tailpieces, there not to bad either

Thanks a lot for the response Ant.
Im fairly new to the world of modding so was wondering if there's any exhausts that stand out from the rest or ones that i should avoid?
Also wondering what sort of price i should be paying for someone to fit it?
where u based, there is a few what will make it to ur spec, ie blueflame, powerflow, there based all over the country,
im from wigan and i always use dan mar in orrell, prices vary from £300+
for instance you can tell them u want it to sound like a subaru an they will get it as near as they can or u want it to sound standard but with bhp gains

I'm just outside Oxford but not too fussed about travelling to get the job done.
Im thinking of getting a twin exhaust but with single pipes split each side, would something like that be covered in the £300 or would it be much more?
Yeah im looking for something with better bhp gains firstly and then a tasteful tone
Cheers.

James,
you'll only waste time and money on a 1.2 buy changing the centre pipes. A full 4 branch manifold will gain most improvement as will removel of the cat, but thus not advised for MOT reasons(+ if you can get one too). A universal backbox is your best bet for sporty sounds and looks, but you'll not gain any power increases on a 1.2.
fit a k&n panel filter, and do a direct air feed from front bumper (ram air) and that'll gain you a couple bhp, but thats all. An ecu remap will prove slight more bhp results.
prob about 450 to 500 go on powerflow and look for your nearest dealer
or a company called top gead in oxford , try them they do custom work

for non chavvy sound forget the sportex, its like a drain pipe and noise maker only, plus the quality of their kit is not really all that good either.
Personal preference was the Ragazzon system for me (had a 1.2 for 4 years) they are pricey, but they have a really nice exhaust note (raspy with a bit of a burble, but nothing ott is any way) and also, the quality of the kit was superb!
if you manage to get your mits on a supersprint manifold (the Punto ones dont fit) you will be one of the lucky ones, i looked high and low for 3 years and never found one at all...

Cheers for all your feedback guys, it's helped a lot. Ive managed to narrow it down a bit now so should have something sorted soon.
Was also wondering what people thought of the Colombo & Bariani Performance cams? Are there significant bhp gains with them?
