So ive started putting my stainless lines on my marea today, hjit a snag though, one of the hardlines has corroded that badly that it is seized into the flexi hose. Try to get it out i have rounded the end and managed to twist the hardline. Does anyone know where i can get another brakeline from? (l/h rear)

Just take the pipe you want renewing with the unions so they can fit new ones of the same thread and they will make the new pipe. not dear at all. most motor factors will do em, You can get all the stuff you need to do your own pipes off ebay. do 3 cars and its paid for itself

You know what, putting stainless lines on a car really isn't worth it. Ive had so many seized fixtures on the hardlines its insane. taken me nearly a full 12 hours just to get the lines on.

I was going to make a guide but have been busy putting stuff right rather than taking pictures.

The hardlines are in copper, the flexi lines are now in stainless!

PS stephen we need to do the indicators still!

Just to re-enforce my comment DO NOT BOTHER CHANGING THE FLEXI LINES TO STAINLESS AND FIAT HAVE STUPID ROUTING FOR THE LINES AND EVERYTHINJG COMES PRE-SEIZED.

Don't know if you know this but if you change the brake pipes to braided hoses etc, you need to declare it to the insurance company. Silly i know.

I remember there being a trick you could do on the price comparison sites that would give you extra cheap insurance if you have braided brake lines. happy.gif
