Firstly, hello to all that know me and apologies for the prolonged absence.
It's been a while since I've been here but I'm back to beg for help !
I went to the petrol station to fill up this morning and I can't get the petrl cap off
I locked it last time I put some in and now I can't get my key to turn in the lock so the cap is just spinning round.
Anyone got any ideas as to how to solve it ?
I gave it a blast of wd40 this morning and gave it the day to soak in but it's still doing the same tonight.
Looks like I'm going to work on the bike for the foreseeable future (at least it'll do the waistline some good)

a good flat head screwdriver an gentle persuader should do the trick, you will just have to buy a new cap

I guess you could drill the lock out chap.

Take off the entire inlet pipe and the plastic surroundings, then drill. You really dont want metal scraps in the tank. And yes I know the key barrel dont go all the way through, but to be safe.

i drilled the lock on my escort van, rear door, it didnt work! the van stayed locked but there was a huge hole all the way through the lock, i could see inside the van via the lock! in the end i just attacked it with a hammer and chisel good luck!

Hmmm, is it ok to be drilling and sparking near petrol fumes ?
I think I'll go for the big screwdriver and not so gentle hammer option and see how we fare - fingers crossed !
