flat spots on acceleration

as title i think i have flat spot on acceleration from pulling away as when i go to pull away quickly all i get is hesitation and then if i put my foot down some more it suddenly come to life this is also like it in every gear if the revs are below about 1500rpm and i go to accelerate.
if its not a flat spot what could it be and if it is how can it be curied and what the reason for getting them
it has had a service recently but was doing it before that its had plugs,leads, oil & filter

please help as its driving me crazy

it could be ur map or ur potentiometer

hi shaun i changed the map sensor over and its still the same the little plug thing on the back of the plastic inlet to the left side of the engine
where is the potentiometer can you show me on a picture???
and can it be changed for a new sensor or can it be clean or what ?????

What about your injectors mate? 1 might not be pumpin the right amount of fuel thru.I kinda got this problem on my polo d.Every now an then,itll wont go,stay the same speed, and all of a sudden its like it has a turbo on it,just boosts off lol

Sounds like your lambda sensor is shot. What where the result on the last MOT regarding emissions ? and how log was that ago ?
No lights on the dash ?

if it was injectors it would have a big flat spot at 4000revs and also would run lumpy as **** and ud have an injector light on.

get some carb cleaner and go through ur sensors one by one, taking them off carefully and cleaning them

my last MOT was end of july and it passed with flying colours on emissions.
there is no lights on the dash and i have also run a diagnostics test and all come back clear

@ shaun was sort of carb cleaner ??????
and what sensors ?????????
can anyone add a picture of what sensors need cleaning as i dont want to start taking everything apart incase i do something wrong

wynns is always a winner, go halfords and get wynns air intake cleaner...take any sensors u can see on ur inlet and clean them..be carefull though because the bolt used are brittle
