Ey up fellas, just wonderin how hard it is to fit a 2 litre HGT engine in to a 1,2 Bravo, I'm guessin' it doesn't just drop in, and I'm aware of all the upgrades I'm going to have to add, brakes etc...etc..
everythin lol think you may need to make fresh holes in the body of the car aswell for the mounts as i presume they wont be in same place.
for sake of it an price of hgts, just buy one
for the price of a hgt, just go and get one, your going to spend a lot more sorting yours to take the hgt engine then just getting a hgt

it has been done. All the mounts are there, if u get an engine with the same loom, ie, mk2, then it will be piss easy, u dn however have to change gear linkages, suspention arms, suspention, rear beam, steering rack all sorts. Maybe even the brake master cylendar. Worth it though for cheaper insurance.

I really wish people would stop promoting insurance fraud, its not big and its not clever.
prepare for the cost of full insurance or dont do it in the first place.

what makes u think i meant that like insurance fraud, insurance on a HGT is so high because its listed as a HGT, but if it was a 2.0 sx, it would be cheaper
If u wanna hgt then i would sel mine. wil have 12 mot n 6 tax end of the month... r reg, green/blue, 102k. just had new tyres, cambelt n tensioners done 3k ago. would sel 4 £650
for starters it wont come up on the data base a 2.0 sx..if you declare the engine,it automatically gets detected as a 2.0 hgt.
mine comes up all time.some sites come back as a 1,4,so when i go to change it manually,i have to select the 2.0 hgt engine size
no way around it,unless u dnt declare it an risk gettin stopped and havin ur car taken off you for no insurance, well incorrect insurance anyway
