Hi All,

Our baby arived 13 weeks early last wednesday and after a load of rushing around i now get chance to take bits off the car as my wife has decided tomorrow she is getting another car and the bravo is goin sad.gif

I am taking bits off it, bits that wont be needed with the trade in and things i can sell on here once i have paid my £5 membership.

Up to now i have the radio and autochanger, arm rest,

Is there anything else you can think about taking out of the car?

2 last things, there are 4 good tyres on the car, 2 barums and 2 budget tyrs, they are only a few months old, how much would i get for the 4 tyres do you reckon?

I know this is also a bit petty but yesterday i put £50 worth of fuel in the car (it was on fumes) i would like a full tank of fuel in whatever car we get however if this doesnt come about it is as though i am throwing £50 at the sales man and with a new baby as some of you will know £50 covers napys!

Has anyone ever tried to syphen off fuel from a car? I have a few jerry cans so was just thinking ill get some in that? I can fil up my motorbike and il use it instead of the sales man?

Any help you can give me will be awesome, only in a rush as we are going to have to sort out everything tonihgt befor she trades in the car tomororw?

Cheers

Mike

i dont think the old fashion way would work as it has a filter or sumthin in the neck..suppose you can try takin the tank off and using like a funnel (half cut 1ltr bottle) to pour it into a jerry can or sumthin bigger? Might take 2 of you to lift the tank tho

I siphoned the fuel out of my bravo when i sold it without a problem. Most cars have an anti-theft device but my 2001 bravo did not and i emptied the tank with the pipe and suck method

Cheers for that, if it goes ill definately do that, seems a little tight however i am not giving them an extra penny!

I took a few bits off the car yesterday and now the deal has fell through because they guy denied the price he offered and added another £500 on to the car so i told him to shove it.
I am thinking i will sell the bravo and look to get as close to £600 as possible!

do you reckon ill get it?

2000 100 sx W reg
Light blue
72000 miles
1000 spent on engine last year including clutch and cambelt
Scratch on back and side
Paint fading on drivers door.

All in all interior - excellent, a great drive, great engine, exterior is a little tatty son i would look between 5 and 600?? Reckon i would get it or should i hold out for a trade in??

Cheers everyone

what car says you should get 685 as a part ex
Linky not taking into account the damage..

but this all depends on what type of car your going for ie what its costing, if you are taking a 2000 bravo in against a 2000 secnic they are not going to want to give you anything for the bravo, however if you looking at cars 5k plus i would push for a better deal. it all comes down to how quickly you need a new car?

good luck with the hunt, and congrats to you and the wife / gf
