Am not sure what it is called so i will try and explain .
I have a few rubber pipes that go into the top of my engine. The one in the middle goes to the side to what i think is a fuel pipe. When this is attached to the engine the revs die and the engine stalls .
When i disconnect it the pipe has air going through it (nothing else) . The car runs without it on although the idle revs are very low and the acceleration isn't as it should be . I am also guessing it is affecting the fuel consumption.
Does any body know what this is ? how i can fix it ? is it a sensor ? and where can i get the parts to fix it ?
Thanks in advance
Paul
P.s I have a 2001 - 1.6 - Fiat Brava - petrol - 5 door
Hi , Its not marked up on there . Its basically right next to where Number 1 is .
the air is blowing out of the engine and goes through the black tube to what looks like a circular sensor which then has 2 wires coming off it (one of which apparently goes to the Mass Air flow sensor) if that means anything ?
The 1,6 aint got MAF but MAP - so I assume the pipe goes somewhere around the throttle body.
Please try making a picture of it, but if you see it on this pic it will help too.
