i know roughly how to bleed the hydraulic clutch, (push on the pedal, release the valve on the slave cylinder then tighten n repeat till only oil comes out when bleeding)

Is this the right way or is there a better way off doing it. Thanks (fitting a new slave cylinder later)

The procedure you wrote is OK, the best way would be to attach a bleeding system on the brake fluid reservoir but that is a workshop tool.

One more thing tho, be careful that the oil in the reservoir dont go under the min marking - or your brakes will need bleeding too.

could use one of these. just push it on the nopple, open it and give about 4 or 5 pumps on the pedal, close bleed screw

When I had to replace my clutch slave cylinder last year, I just cracked open the bleed screw a fraction and pumped the pedal a little until the clutch fluid came out without bubbles, then just nipped the bleed screw up tight. Worked fine and is still OK many months later.

I've read that you should never push the pedal more than halfway, because if your master cylinder in worn it'll go past a certain mark and make the pressure worse.

Tried it myself on a few cars and it seems to be true
