his article is in reply to an article written by David Ottaway and Thomas E. Picks on Washington Post on 11/04/01 , titled " Somalia Draws Anti Trerorist-Focus". Before, I start commenting about that article, let me start with an article that I have read after September 11, written by an American Scholar Hamza Yusuf, formerly known as Mark Hanson. The article started like this:
" An American went to Afghanistan to seek enlightmet, and he asked the first Afghan that he met with, who is the most enlighted man in your country? The Afghan could not speak English, so he replied back to the American " Namai Safman" which in his language means,
I don,t know what you are talking about!. The American Went looking for a non existing fellow named " Namai Safman" which he is still looking for, So as the whole nation Marching behind him in a line of ignorance…….. moral of the story is, before we can find a solution to a problem, we must understand the Problem first.
Now According to this article about Somalia, Bush's Next phase of anti terror seems to be heading to Somalia, which they say is the most likely safe heaven of Osama Bin Laden. Furthermore, the report says , that in 1993 Bin Laden has sent some of his top Lieutanants to assist Somali Warlord Aideed. Even if he did so at that time, it's now unlikely and any Somali expert will tell you that, Bin laden Will never feel save in Somalia, and therefore, it's highly unlikely that he will go to Somalia.
Trust me on this, We , Somalis talk too much, and he won,t be able to hide in the country,
Secondly, if he ever goes there, the First Clan that gets him, will put him up for sale, therefore, the only place he could be safe is the Mountains of Afghanistan, ro Chechnya.
Also, the article says, that according to some intelligence report bin Laden people Moved to Somalia. Come on, cut us some slack on this!. Enough with the intelligence… This article first appeared in Somali Newspaper, and it was merely continuation of Somali Civil war but this time ( Fadhi ku dirir) on paper. It was even aired on the BBC Somali service, and they too have agreed, it was nonesense.
As a Somali , I would suggest to President Bush , to consult with American Experts, like Prof. MenkHaus, or perhaps, the Ex 3rd Faction Leader Jonathan Howe of Unisom, former U.S ambassador Robert Oakely before he takes any action on Somalia.
The Somali civilians have been living in hell for the last ten years, and they have seen their share of atrocities, and what they need now is bread, and not a bomb. So, if the Americans go to Somalia, what is the objective this time? it will probably be either to
Finish what they started Project " Island of the Salt" or perhaps to find a white Elephant (Osama ), which we all know is not there.
Neither Bin Laden, nor the rest of the Arabs did a favor for us, because When hundereds of Somalis were starving daily in Somalia, the rich Arabs like the Kuwaits were donating Millions of dollars to London Zoo .Therefore, an animal in a zoo some where in London, was more important than a starving Somali. So,Why should we care an Arab Millionare and America's game that we have no relation with? We don,t care. The Americans and Bin Ladin people should take their war game to some where else and should leave us alone.
Somalia, ceased to exist as a nation, partially, because of the civil war, and now that the civil war is over, the country is divided into Warlord fiefdoms each one supported by foreign coutry, and the whole country is uninhabitable , due to polution by estern Trafficants( Mainly European), arms smugglers, not because of AlQaeda or Al-Itihad, Which I have not heard before September,11.
And now Christian Ethiopia is medling in Somalia's affairs more than any other nation in the region, trying to take advantage of Somalia's lawlessness and rewrite the history. The question we need to ask the Tigray Led " Agaami" regime of Ethiopia is, what were they doing in Luuq Ganaane, when they said they found Fundamentlists, and what are they doing now in Bay region ?
And What is considered to be a Fundamentalist anyway? Perhaps any one who does not fit to the defintion of Judeo- Christian\ Muslim!?
There iss Ayah in the in Quran that Allah (SWT) said
" Jewish and Christians will not be satisfied with you , untill you beleive their relgion" which is what they want to you to beleive. Did any one ever heard of either Christian or Jewish Fundementalist? And Why the term Terrorist is always reserved for Muslims,
while the crimes committed by Christians like IRA are refered to As Sectarian Violence? I will leave that to the readers as food for thought. Neither Ethiopia, nor foreign Muslims, have a place in Somali politics, both have to leave us alone, because Somalia had fought it's share of Proxy War.
Therefore,The biggest, mistake that the American can make is to go an aliance with Ethiopia for any operations against Somalia.
That will be a recipe for total disaster and will further enflame the region by giving extremists a reason to go there.
If the Americans care the plight of the Somalis, and want peace in that part of the world ,they should, first tell Ethiopia to butt out, and get it's nose out of Somalia affairs, and not only tell that, they have to pressure it.
Secondly, they should assist , the Interim Somali government, to estblish law and order in the country.
Thirdly, they should pressure other govenments that support remaining warlords, like Kenya, and Libiya to stop the assisting the warlords that oppose peace, especially the American Kid Hussein Aideed.
In doing so, the American can achieve their interest,
without risking American Lives,nor further distablize peace in the region.
Fourth , all the European arms traffickers, like the Italian Emperor Giancarlo Marocchino and other nuclear waste smugglers in the country have to leave the country and they have to be brought to justice.
And Finally, Somalia's Cleaning process have to start, and those European and American Multinational corporation that were behind the project of the
" Island of the Salt" must be brought to justice and they have to clean their mess.
The following is classical case of deceit, Lies, and Hyprocisy of Western Nations , Now claiming to be fighting terror including America, Britain, France and Italy.
All they care is their financial interest and nothing else.. Nada, not a human right nor Environment as long as it does not affect them directly.
Was "Operation Restore Hope" the first Humantarian Intervention or an expedition to " The Island Of Salt" Project .
The following map and the articles that follow show, how the American led West turned Somalia into Waste land by dumping nuclear waste,toxic waste and that "operation Restore Hope" was fraud and not humantarian operation at all.
By the way, this is not new information, both UN environmental Agency and Green Peace has it, but no body gives a damn, since we are not politically and economically viable. This is what Post Taliban Afghanistan Will perhaps look like, if Anglo- American Imperialist get their way.
