Hello, so this is what its like to float about inside the head of one of Andrew McDermids brain children. I hope you keep the rest of your life up to date 'cos frankly mr shankly this just wont do tsk tsk tsk, just messin' with ya kiddo. Its not bad, i quite liked the old posters section and you did put on a lot of bands when you were young and hip, and recently Ian Brown too...my how youve grown. Cant say i like too many local bands though, cant say i like any. Too much fuss being made over too little talent or no talent at all as the case may be for some i wont mention..... oh all right then...SDA. But its not a bad site it just needs care and attention, and i'm gonna make a point of making my holy and unholy thoughts known on it. No band too big or too small, no promoter too good or too money grabbing, no manager too helpful or too pompous will be safe. Unless of course they are the genuine article in which case i shall shout from the rooftops in praise of them. Take it easy fella. And 'live long and prosper' (cos i know yer a trekkie). have u actually seen all of the local bands in inverclyde??? granted, some of them are utter pish, but some of them, well, one of them are fuckin A.
THE SKARSOLES are the only band in greenock worth seein A) if u want a good time B) if u wanna hear good music and C) cos sayin you went to see any other band just makes u a loser
why theyve not got further no one knows (well, we do know. bloody battle of the bands at barfly are fixed thats for sure)
even if u dont like ska, which a lot of people dont, the skarsoles are still a great band. plus, they dont so shitey covers and act all serious about it like they wrote the song, but their cover of 'boom boom' by the vengaboys is stuff of legend amongst skasters.
so dont be sayin all local bands are shite. just say 99% of them are.
