Jerry, The Gung Ho kept racing until 92 I believe. It even won a heat in Burley in 91 I think it was (the 4 litres raced there in 91 an 92. The newer designed hulls had problems keeping on plane in the thin hot air while this older hull with deeper sponsons didn't have as much problems with it. With the boat I crewed on back then, we had to move the engine as far back as posible and lift the strut up as much as we could to keep the boat from plowing up the front straight. Alan
