Wonderup seems to have cleared my spots up! Or maybe it's in my imagination? No seriously, I'm sure it's since I started Wonderup that my spots have gone.

I hope you're right! I'll give it abit longer and see, hopefully my skin will get better. I'm just worried that if wu can mess about with your hormones then it could also have other side effects.

before taking WU i could guarantee that i would only have 1 week out of 4 that i wouldnt have any spots and the other 3 weeks were awfull - i had big red spots all over my face! but after being on WU for 2 and a half months i can say that i have only have 6 spots which i think is great!
i did change my diet a little when i started taking WU because i thought it would help growth so my healthy eating could have cleared up my spots but who knows!!
good luck everyone,

I used another breast enlargement product and my breast size and my total body hair increased. Body hair was a big turn off. Once i started seeing a growing mustache on my face (didn't have it before), I immediately stopped using the pills. That is why I am very sceptical now. Be very careful. Oh and by the way, I have hair on my boobs now and after I stopped using the product my boobs went to their original size but the hair are still there.

Hi Anna, I read your post and it seems that you have elevated testosterone levels since taking that product. There are herbs you can take which can help e.g. Agnus Castus is used to balance hormones back to the way they were or are meant to be and Saw Palmetto can lower the testosterone in your body. It is worth talking to a herbalist about this though and maybe to a doctor as well.
Also, how long ago did you stop taking the product? It might be that your body just needs a little time to get back to normal, but I'm not sure.
You can phone Napiers if you don't know any place to go to, they charge you I think 60p for your call but you get to speak to a proper herbalist who may be able to help you. I have used it myself and felt that they are quite good, especially if you don't have anyone locally you can go to.
And no, I am not advertising, everyone can take it or leave it, it's just a health clinic store thing and I was told about it in my local health store. The link if you are interested is: http://www.napiers.net/health/advice.html
Good luck and take care,
Lisa

Unusual

September 9 2005, 1:08 PM

That sounds very unusual. The hormonal balance you need to achieve breast growth is quite different to the testosterone-heavy conditions that lead to unwanted hair growth. It seems that you experienced something very odd and unusual, quite different to what would be expected from taking these kind of herbs.

" Since taking wonderup i feel that my skin has become more spotty and i seem to have more body hair - has anyone else experienced any of these symptons??!

I used breast gain plus pills about a year ago. It was incredible my breasts were starting to grow and my boyfriend couldn't help but notice. However, my hair started to grow as well. First a little bit on my breasts and then after about a month of usage I felt a little mustache growing. Since Sammy is experiencing the same kind of side effect, I guess its not that unusual to grow body hair by taking these pills. The ingredients in breast gain plus and in the product sold on this website are not that different. I checked. I would love to grow my breasts and wouldn't mind taking pills however HAIR??? and a MUSTACHE ??? NO THANK YOU!!! It's been a year since I stopped using the pills (used it for one month) and still have the extra hair that i didn't have before and my breasts are still the same size. BE VERY CAREFUL!!!

I can probably help here, as I have just got my degree in herbal medicine. The effects you describe are certainly not typical of taking these kind of herbs and it is no exaggeration to categorise these effects as extremely unusual. Unfortunately I can't diagnose exactly what happened in your case or why, but as a herbalist I can tell you again that it's extremely unusual. Any other herbalist will tell you the same. You can try for a second opinion if you like. You can also research the matter yourself if you want to - the outcome will be the same, as you will find that the effects you describe are not associated with these herbs. Quite the opposite actually, taking these herbs should help to REDUCE an unwanted hair problem and I know many cases myself where this happy outcome has occurred.

How come Sammy exprienced increased hair growth as she started taking the pill? Sammy posted the original message. Is it pure coincidence?

I don't know. I doubt if anyone could offer a diagnosis here (you would need more information for one thing). But I agree with what others have said that these kind of herbs will generally help with unwanted hair. Because they help with hormone balancing any hormone-related problems you have such as unwanted hair should be reduced. Also, when I first came to this message board I read it all through, all 20 pages of it, and I didn't come across anyone else reporting such an effect, so whatever the cause of the problem it obviously isn't a general effect of the herbs.

After reading about Anna's experince i'm very anxious about taking WU. I would be really interested to know if other people have suffered any similar problems. Anna, you stated that you only took WU for a month do you think if you had continued for a longer period of time then the side effects might have gone away? I dont know, but i can only conclude that these herbs must have some effect on hormones, i also feel i have more spots than before, has anyone else experieced this? Surely if the hormones that effect breast enlargement are stimulated then they could have an effect on body hair and acne?

No, you've got it completely wrong. The hormones encouraged by Wonderup would be the estrogens necessary for breast growth. This should in theory reduce the influence of testosterone which is the cause of body hair. That's why taking Wonderup should actually mean mean less of a problem with body hair. It's just a suggestion, but I think you'd be better off if you took proper advice from a herbalist instead of making guesses.

I don't think this is that unusual as the exact same thing has happened to me. I have developed alot of hair on my breasts while taking WU and have started to notice it on my face, including my cheeks and chin. My opinion, and i may be wrong, is the high dose of Fenugreek in these pills. This herb is also used to treat hair loss!
