I told the story of the women at the gas station. They were wearing their bikini tops some were tied looser than others and exposure was made. I also said that they may as well have not been wearing them at all the way they were tied. I am not going to presume everyone will believe everything they read or hear, I don't. But, I am not the one that pulled into a gas station in such a state...I simply defended their right to do so. One member called it a "fantasy of a male poster here,"...wrong....I have much better sources for expressing fantasies than a board concerning a real and legitimate issue. Folks, the truth of the matter is that sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.
As far as shirtless guys go, I don't live in a year round warm climate. When summer does arrive here, I see guys of ALL builds going shirtless into 7-11 stores, CVS pharmacies, gas stations, fast food joints, you name it. All of them have policies "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service" is the most common. The rule is NEVER enforced so long as the patron is wearing shoes. They are most concerned about injury to slip and fall, or broken glass to the exposed foot. They could care less about whther or not someone gets offended by a guys gut or partial butt crack...as long as no one gets hurt and they don't get sued because of it, "No Harm, No Foul" rules are in play.
I am a man. I enjoy the female form, nude or clothed. I am heterosexual and believe that if the rules I mentioned above are cool for guys, they are in turn cool for the ladies. I took a stand and "persuaded" the gas station attendant to look the other way on his little dress code thing. I also have a gut and really don't give a rat's a** what people think about me, because I possess the mental accumen or physical ability to back up my opinion. I'll let the other person decide which way they want to go. I am pretty much a chivalrous kind of guy. I like to open doors for ladies; I like to defend a ladies honor when she is wrongfully accused; I enjoy standing up for her rights as I would my own. When the attendant decided to lower the boom on the girls, I decided to lower the boom on him and I'd do it again under similar circumstances. When I look at all the things that should be getting attention...homeless people starving, drug dealers out gunning and out-funding police agencies, child abductions, serial killers, conjugal prison visits, I think a topless person is pretty small potatoes. Puritanical thought was good when the pilgrims settled here, but that was then, and this is now. Most of the people I get to meet in a day are hard working, decent, law-abiding people that happen to think much the same way as I do...we have bigger fish to fry, but there aren't enough lines in the water to catch them. |
