Sorry Nat and Anudist, but that's not the way it is. We won't let Elvis rest, just like we don't let the other mythical figures like Marilyn, James Dean or Kennedy rest. These people are not only part of your US social cultural history but also part of world history. And people who don't know the history know nothing of life and society. Regardless whether you like Elvis or his music, you have to remember that Elvis meant a breakthrough in music. I am too young to have experienced Elvis. I only knew him as a fat person who died. But I know his music and his voice which was great no matter how he looked. I love the looks of Elvis as a young man. His astonishing beauty was beyond believe. Would I have lived then I would have adored his gorgeous looks. No one ever comes close to that except the young Marlon Brando. I guess he still makes men jealous ... you should be proud as an American about Elvis and show some respect !
