You're not familiar with how a "support group" works, are you?
It's not bragging, it's sharing. Women do that, they like to share their feelings and experiences, and it helps encourage each other and give them something to work towards. And they like the feeling that someone is enjoying themselves, and share it vicariously.
It's talking. Not the typical topic-oriented conversation that men like (sports, cars, facts), but since this is a woman's issue, I think a tiny bit of room can be made for women to speak to each other, don't you?
