"In other words, the worse the woman is about wearing a bra too much, the more likely she is to have pain when she takes it off, at least from what I can tell from what I have read. Can anyone tell about their experience with this? First hand reports on this kind of thing should be helpful to others."
I used to avoid going braless because my lymph nodes would hurt when I took my bra off. I also had cyclical breast pain before that, but I don't know if I had put two and two together at the time, I think I just thought they hurt at random intervals.
I spent last summer mostly braless, and now that they've been detoxed the only time they hurt is if I wear a restrictive bra for more than a few hours.
The first time I wore an underwire bra after not having worn any bra at all for a while, when I took it off, it didn't hurt so much as, it felt the way I imagine it would feel to take your arm out of a sling after wearing one for a few months. I felt like I had bowling balls strapped to my chest.
