Yes, I'm surprised the police were so co-operative. My son's car recently got hit by a hit & run driver (no injuries, fortunately) but because everything happen so fast he didn't get a full tag number and description of the car. The cops told him "without a full tag number they couldn't do anything". This is bullshit ofcourse since with modern computer systems you can put in as much info as you got and they will give you a list of possible suspects. They just didn't want to be bothered to do their job for a simple property damage thing. I guess you are suppose to go find the suspect and drag him to the police station for them.
