I was just trying to explain in my post that in the end the fight for topfreedom is one that will have to be won by the women. I am interested in this topic because I am a husband of a two time breast cancer survivor and the father of 2 daughters. I am sure many men are keeping women back but on the whole men and women need to blame themselves for their predicament. I remember how the ERA was on the fast tract to becoming an amendment when some women were afraid that it's passage would destroy what they considered their privileged condition. They were concerned they would give up their status of getting the children in custody battles, they would be drafted in the military and yes some women would try to exercise the same freedoms of men including going shirtless. I had an aunt who was in the forefront in our state of getting this amendment defeated much to the dismay of my mother who did not agree with her sister. The congressmen who were mostly male decided that if the women didn't want this then why ratify it.
