i hope not to offend you, but how tough will canada be in a real war? does everyone agree here that lowering the standards of soldiers will create an overall weaker army. that's why the navy seals, probably the best military unit, has standards so high that most men get weeded out.
a weaker army may be fine for canadians, who are a peaceful and war-adverse society. but for a war-loving and hated-by-the-rest-of-the-world country like the U.S., we need a strong army.
