Response to Election in Florida
There was a lot more screwy than some hanging chads. There were people who had registered but were not on the voter roles when they went to vote. People who were send to the wrong voting precincts. Voters that were purged from the roles illegally. Blacks in the panhandle that were told the polls had closed when they hadn't. And a confusing "butterfly" ballot in Palm Beach county that had many people voting for Buchanan when they thought they were voting for Gore.
Now I can understand errors occurring, but it seems that these errors always worked to the advantage of Republicans and the fact that every major official in the Florida election office from Katherine Harris on down were registered Republicans does make one a tad suspicious.
