Back in the early 1980s there was a rash of isolated but well publicized incidents involving sexual abuse by adults at school and institutions. As a result many institutions became very strict about avoiding any opportunity that could even provide the inference of such.

The way to prevent this from happening is to always have at least two adults present whenever there are situations where children could be abused so that someone cannot abuse the children or if they do there is a witness to say that the person did commit the crime so it doesnt end up being a he said/she said thing.

Second- kids have a much greater awareness of homosexuality now. When I was a kid homosexuality was not even talk about in public. We hardly knew such a thing existed. Today every school kid knows about it and that makes same-sex nudity have a sexual connotation that didn't exist in more innocent times.

School kids need to be told that when they attend school they are to treat all their classmates reguardless of race/sex/gender with RESPECT and that they are to leave any prejudice or bigotry they have towards these students at home, otherwise they will not be allowed to come to and attend that school. Schools should not have to put up with this crap and if the kids feel uncomfortable with this or it makes the parents mad then so what. Kids have a right to come to school and get educated and not have to deal with this garbage from a bunch of little racist brats who were never taught to respect those who are different. Maybe if these racist kids are so insecure with people who are different then maybe they should be homeschooled so they dont have to be exposed to that and then those kids at school will not have to deal with any bigotry.
