This board has been somewhat heated/tense lately. It has made me think about things like: How do we discuss issues intelligently, even when we disagree? What role does feminism play in bra-freedom? What is feminism today? WHY does the issue of feminism even have to be discussed in 2006?
So, I wonder what you folks think? In the 60's and 70's women burned their bras as a statement. Now women are wearing super engineered bras and are getting implants. Sometimes I think there is a counter movement to most movements, so I hope that more natural and honest will replace breast implants and padded bras. Is it happening?
I am also seeing a big difference between Canada and the US. I suspect that Europe is also much different than the US. What is going on down there these days? It seems the US is going crazy with Puritanism!
I want to be able to discuss this issue with my sisters and my brothers in an intelligent manner. I would like my brothers to be supportive and to resist the old temptations to objectify women and our breasts. Is this possible?
