Well I'm still skeptical. Say you have a major news event or something like the super-bowl- everyone and their brother will want to watch live in real time. That's going to put a tremendous load on any system filling all those streams simultaneously. I can just see the whole thing crashing just as the winning field goal is kicked.
And there's practical matters such as viruses which have been known to be incorporated into BitTorrent feeds.
Ofcourse in 30 years people will be probably be watching holographic TV telepathically, if man hasn't blown himself up by then which is more likely.
