Response to Re: Single-payer insurance

Sorry to disillusion you but that's not really true Brandon. Suppose you come down with some disease and your doctor says the only thing that might cure it is a new treatment. But it's new and expensive so your insurance company says "No- its new and unproven therapy"- not covered in their policy so they aren't going to pay for it. You going to go to another insurance company? Fat chance! You won't get insurance from anyone now. A private insurance company has great incentive to deny you service- they have people who get paid by how much money they can save the company by denying claims. This kind of thing happens all the time. And if you develop a serious disease they would prefer you die so you don't cost them anymore money.
