Sorry to disillusion you but that's not really true Brandon. Suppose you come down with some disease and your doctor says the only thing that might cure it is a new treatment. But it's new and expensive so your insurance company says "No- its new and unproven therapy"- not covered in their policy so they aren't going to pay for it. You going to go to another insurance company? Fat chance! You won't get insurance from anyone now. A private insurance company has great incentive to deny you service- they have people who get paid by how much money they can save the company by denying claims. This kind of thing happens all the time. And if you develop a serious disease they would prefer you die so you don't cost them anymore money.
