Well actually I did have Republican leanings in the 1960s because I thought the Vietnam war was a huge mistake (still do) and I associated it with Democrats (Kennedy, Johnson) but Nixon disillusioned me- not only did he not end the war (as he promised) but expanded it into Cambodia and he turned out to be a very unethical person (ie- Watergate). Since then I've decided that Republican's objective is to help the rich get richer and the hell with the rest.
