If all the stuff thats been banned was as bad as the government says I'd done died years ago. For years I worked with or around mercury, asbestos, lead-solder, PCB-oil, beryllium, cadmium and high-RF-fields and I'm still here and kicking. People who use incandescent bulbs pay for their choice in their electric bill, I wouldn't even oppose putting a surcharge on incandescent bulbs to make them more expensive than CFLs- but to ban them completely is going too far.

It's like the low-flow toilets the government mandated a few years ago- they do such a poor job of flushing that people often have to flush twice- using more water than the old toilets did!
