I am always impressed when I see people defending opinions that lead to policies inevitably detrimental to them.....

I feel that the main reason why US consumers started to buy imported goods rather than US made ones was not only a matter of price, but primarily of quality. Just think of US-designed cars vs. Japanese cars, US-made cameras (Kodak only for years) vs. Japanese ones, US-designed trains vs. European trains, etc. The list is endless, and I will not even get into food and drink....

The experience has demonstrated over years since Reagan that tax cuts for the rich does not make them stay. The reason why businesses move is not only a matter of taxes but also a matter of willingness to work from people and level of education. As far as I know, the Chinese government has never cut its education expenses.
