Response to Democrat criticism

on PBS last night? It was an hour-long editorial critical of Pres Obama for reniging on his campaign promise for "immigration reform" . . which in the context of this program means "dismantle the borders and let everyone come on in".

I was on the verge of nausea, hearing all these sob stories about poor illegal immigrants whose own govts aren't providing them any opportunities, so they HAVE to enter U.S. any way they can . . . and how mean and unacceptable it would be for America to make those who snuck into U.S. and had children here to possibly have to leave those children when they are deported and the kids get to stay.

Just as nauseating were the assurances that Obama Admin. officials gave to the program's reporters that, "President Obama is still committed to immigration reform, but in the current political climate (again, "Damn those mean Republicans and Conservatives . . we need to vote them out of office and let the poor undocumented people stay!") there is only so much he can do. But we haven't forgot and we are still working on that."

Why even have laws if the Chief Executive and his appointees won't even stand up and say, "It's the law. You broke the law. You need to go home and try to do it the right way. And if you don't, we will send you packing!"
