WIth more power to the majority, you excuse all the crimes that are committed against minorities. I'm not talking about eating meat or fish here, but about mass killings! Giving more power to the majority gives right to killing the Jews during WWII as they were a minority, killing the Indians in the US as they were a minority, killing the Chinese in South East Asia (e.g. Indonesia 1955-56), straights killing gays, etc.
