We originally started out(when I was very young) in the western part of the State, and my father worked for the gold mine. Where "Black Hills Gold" came from. It has since ceased operation though. Now, they are wondering what to do with it. There is talk about turning it into an underground laboratory, but there are environmental concerns and all. There is the Black Hills National Forrest and National Cemetary, and Mt. Rushmore and the carving of Crazy Horse, etc. to protect and all. Ranching is big out west. Farming is more eastern. Needless to say, agriculture and tourism are big here. 
I know this has all been off-topic, but it is interesting to hear about the general parts of the world you are from. Thank you for sharing. |
