The #1 ranked Ohio State University Buckeyes survived a tight game with Penn State on Saturday (final score was 28-6, but it was much closer than that -- OSU scored touchdowns off two interceptions during the final 3 minutes). The next game is Sept. 30th at Iowa. The Hawkeyes are currently 4-0 and ranked #13. This should be another tough, close game.

btw . . did anyone other than me think Notre Dame was exceedingly fortunate to win Sat. night's game at Michigan State? MSU led most of the game, with what appeared to be a commanding 37-21 lead with only about 7 minutes left. Unfortunately (for MSU), they frittered the lead away with turnovers, including an interception for a touchdown deep in Michigan State territory that led to the winning score: Notre Dame 40, Michigan State 37. The TV annoucers applauded ND the whole game, but they were lucky not to lose for the second straight game (after the pounding they got from Michigan Wolverines the previous week). Notre Dame was touted (still is by some) as a favorite to win the national championship, but I say that they, their coach and quarterback are all OVER-RATED!
