Interesting comments. I didn't know that much myself. But I haven't been using the internet that long either and I've never looked at facebook.
It is a curious thing the way privacy is talked about so much these days, yet so many people make posts on the internet telling all sorts of things about themselves, no doubt mostly true.
Another thing is that although it is said that anything you put on the internet is there for all time for anyone to see. Perhaps but forums seem to come and go, as do the contributors. Such is the nature of life, I suppose. I don't know why we think anything on the internet is permanent, yet one's own personal computer can go down and lose everything. Frustrating to say the least. I do know it is possible to recover much that is lost (using something like "Diskdigger") but that which is recovered is given new file names and you're in for a lot of searching to find something. I know; I went through that a few months ago. Most of what I recovered (mostly Excel files) I recovered from eMails sent to other people, the e-Mails being saved on a server somewhere out there in radioland.
