Hello again...I would like to know if anyone can tell me if the clunking noise that I hear when I turn my steering wheel is normal. The sound is much more noticeable now that the weather is getting colder her in NY. It happens mostly while parking. I turn the wheel and CLUNK! I turn it again to continue parking and CLUNK! This is the first car I have had with variable-assist power steering. Is this noise common to this type of steering? I really do not feel like going down to Mazda if I do not have to so can anyone help me on this? Thank You

check your power steering system and your cv joints man.if its the cv joints the reason you can only hear it when your parking is because theres no road noise to disguise the sound

it's probably your brakepads going back and forth if you're trying to parallel park. there's some play in them that makes this noise when going back and forth slowly and braking.
