Well I got a 626 for my winter car. It is the 91 2.2 It will not start has been hit in the front. I checked everything. It has spark, gas, getting good compression? just will not start. I don;t want to drop to much money into this car due to it only being a winter car. any help would be great

Thank you

Nathan

I had a 91 ...check the starter. If that's not it, I'd say it's most definitely the neutral switch. Both are less than $100 if you do it by yourself, $150 at a shop, $300 at the dealership.

Hope that helps.

Sounds like you have a bad timing belt. If your getting fuel, ignition and compression the only thing
left is the the belt.
Owe one thing you can check is the reluctor could be
installed backwards on your distributor. The ramp side
should lead the direction it's turning. It'll hardly
run with this thing backwards.

Nathan the engine cranks over I presume, otherwise you would not be able to do the compression test? so it cannot be the neutral switch!!

We need more info??

Oh yes the timming belt wears and stops the engine from running but still cranks BULL!@#$!!! the timming belt wears then snaps, then a valve hits a piston!! if your engine cranks and compression is good the valves must be opening and closing which means the belt is usable. recomended replacement every 100,000km as to avoid breakage and a buggered engine!! a friend done 202,000 in his 323 before first replacement!!
