I GREATLY appreciate any and all help with this matter. In an attempt to get bright headlights, I purchased aftermarket bulbs rated at more wattage than the stock bulbs. As a result, the bulbs shorted and melted the piece of plastic the 9006 series lights plug into (I have heard it called a pigtail) I have checked at autozone, napa, pep boys, etc and no one carries this part. I went to the mazda dealer and they told me they wouldnt sell it to me, I had to buy a complete wiring harness to the tune of $700. I went to the junk yard and was luky enough to find a wrecked 626 and clipped one from there and rewired it. No I have one headlight, and have already been pulled over once. Can anyone either:
1. Tell me where I can order this part.
2. Give me the part number (if there is one) so I can order it though Mazda.
3. Let me know what other cars have the same pigtail (95 Millenia, 626, MX-6) any others?
I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read and respond.

Try this website, I hope its right. You may find the part or not. They have like thirty pages of extra parts you will have to look through and hopefully something will stick out. Also, dont you love mazda dealers?

NO NO NO NO NO!!! Stop!!! Before you buy ANYTHING! Your car is probalbly rated for only 55w. You prob put in 80w bulbs. You melted the bulb harness. Find an aftermarket tuner shop in your city (any place that "hooks up" imports). Tell them that you need a bulb harness for your lights so you can put 80w bulbs in. They should cost about $20. If not, call Francis at Xcess Motorsports in New Orleans (504.242.8006) and see if he will ship you some (if you pay by credit card). You don't need the entire wire harness. It's just two wires that you will cut. However, if the actual bulb harness (the piece that holds the bulb in) melted, just go to a junk yard and snip them off. All you have to do is crimp the wires. Be careful. I have a 97 626 and my relay and relay harness melted. Apparentaly my bulb harness can handle the load, but not the relays. However, that only cost $50 and I put it in (just cut and crimped 4 wires). Hope this helps.

Just read more of your message. Any 93-97 626 will work, or for that matter, any car that uses 9006 for the low beam (not a combo high and low, like H4). It is just a matter of snipping them and crimping them in. Here's a list of car's that use 9006 bulbs that you can use the bulb harness from:
