| My 10 year old 1.8 Astina is starting to get very noisy at 3,000 rpm. It used to run at 100 kph at 3,000 rpm, but now it's very noisy at 100 kph and takes 3,500 rpm to reach the speed.
I've tried lots of things and serviced the car well over the years, but the Mazda garage says it's normal for it's age. Any suggestions welcome !!!

You may have a slipping clutch or transmission. The speed of the car at a given RPM should remain the same, no matter what the age of the car.
