considering purchasing a '98 626ex for my daughter. good price, clean vin search, are the transmissions still a problem by 1998? By the way, love my 94 navaho.

If it's a manual then it's not a problem. The auto transmission on the 4 cylinder is the problem, the V6 model has a different transmission that doesn't die.
