I recently bought a 97 Mazda Milenia and when I used to put in the key, the stearing wheel would go from its original position which was up to the location that i set it for, which was lower. Now when I put the key in it won't do anything, it would just stay up.
Does anyone have an idea on what could be the problem that is causing this?

Did by chance you accidently pust the auto button to the off position? It is located just under the turn signal. It dissables the automatic movement of the wheel.
