i have an 89 turbo 626 does anyone know what brand of turbo it has. Merker x4ti, saab or any other turbo car does anyone know the answer to my question. I want to know basically what brand of turbo it is and what type of a flange it is and what I could possibly use as a donor car for a new turbo

Your stock turbo is an IHI RHB5. An XR4TI uses a 60 trim T3 on all the manual cars...same as thunderbirds up until 88 when they went to an IHI turbo, but it uses a garret flange on the turbine housing - I don't think the cartridge will fit your turbine housing. Possible bolt in replacements I would suggest are from a Geo Spectrum Turbo, Isuzu Impulse Turbo. An MX-6 would work, as well as Ford Probe turbo. Subaru turbos work, but the castings are quite a bit different and yours would have to be reused. How bad is your turbo? If you let it get bad enough to where the housings were scored by the wheels, then you're going to have to find yourself an exact match...most likely another 626, or the probe/MX-6 turbo.
