Hello:
I am trying to install an Alpine double DIN CD/Cassette deck on my 94 626 and could not find a source for mounting brackets. Has anyone else here who owned a 93-97 Mazda 626 installed a double DIN stereo in their car. If so, where were you able to buy brackets for it? If you custom made one, any advice on how to do it?

Hmm, well I've never seen the back-side of a double DIN unit so I don't know if it's a whole solid block in the rear or if it's actually split at a point.
The 93-99 626es have two single DIN slots, you can slide any CD player right in without an install kit (is that what you mean by mounting brackets?). Seeing as how you want to install a double-DIN unit then I guess you can cut out the piece seperating the two single-DIN slots and just slide the unit right in with the mounting cage.
Don't take my word for it though, I'm not totally sure if it would be off a bit (probably).
