1984 Mazda 626 power windows malfunctionSeptember 12 2002 at 1:39 PM No score for this post | Zeulenroda |
| Hi, who can help me to locate the proper fuse, there are too many and difficult to remove/check. Also, is there some other known cause for a complete power window failure? Thanks. |

If you have the owners manual it will show which is the window fuse. If the fuse is good pull the door panel and check for power to the switch and motor. If the motor is bad and you have a 4 door you can swap the motor from the rear door and get away pretty cheap.
To test the fuse use a test light. With the key on check both sides of the fuse. If the test light lights up on both sides check the switch and motor. If the fuse is bad replace it and see if it lasts. My bet is on the motor giving up based on the age of the car. | |
