I just bought a 91 RX-7 convertable with the 13b rotory. I don't know much about rotory motors. I know I can purchase a factory twin turbo from the junkyard but other than that I am clue less. I know it is a bad a!! motor. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you

There is a site called Mazdatrix or something like that that specializes in rotary parts and performance. Although I worship the RX-7 I don't own one and there for do not know much more that what swaps out with my truck. The entire engine is essetially a dished out flywheel so it takes a tiny bit longer for it to whine out than a piston engine. I was riding with my friend who has an 87 with a brand new 13b crate engine in it and he's kept it essentially stock so far. We where going up the road when a camaro started
F&%king with us. We where going uphill in 4th with the air on, when we passed the dude in the camaro he poped the nos and my friend jsut upshifted into 5th and blew his doors off. The only things I know to supe one up is to port and polish, and lighten the drive train i.e. aluminum engine pullys light weight flywheel and lightweight rims. I'm sure there is more you can do without adding a turbo but thats all I know.
