Got in the truck yesterday, and discovered my air doesn't work.
Here are the symptoms:
when the fan switch is in position 1 and 2 you can turn on the air conditioning switch and hear the relay click and the compressor run. But you get no fan turning, and no air coming from the blower. No AC
Position 3 and 4 the fan works properly, air comes from the blower but it cuts off the air conditioning compressor and relay. No AC
I've checked all fuses as well as the circuit breaker in the fues box and all are ok.
Any ideas ??
thanks guys...

Check the set of resistors that control the blower speed. Probably one or two are toasted. If I remember they are mounted as a unit next to the fan in the passenger's side under the dash. Use an ommeter to test for an open circuit. You can buy this at most parts stores.

The problem you are asking about is the exact same thing that was wrong on my truck. It's the blower speed resistor under your dash in your evaporator case that is melted through on one of the resistor wires. I have a good spare one if you need it as YOU CAN NOT buy this part at a parts store anywhere, only at the dealer for between $35-60. There is two diffrent types on your year truck on with a wire lead moulded in to it an one without along with a plug where two plugs from your underdash plugs in. Give me shout if you need parts or more help.
