I have a 96 Auto MX6. My Transmission just blew on it 2 days ago. I am looking for suggestions here. What shoulod i do. I will have to replace it for sure. Does anyone know how and where i can get a new or a rebuilt transmission. How much would it cost.
Further does any one know of a good Mazda mechanic in the Boston area who could help me out.
I was thinking of changing it to a stick shift. Can i replace it with a manual transmission from a 97 626? I can get one online for $350. If i can, how much is the labour charge in replacing one and how much would it cost in total (including clutch plates etc).
Any help would be great and appreciated.
