I have a 93'Mazda 636 Lx, the"Hold"ligh flashing when I drive for about two weeks. then after my keep driving for another two or three weeks with "Hold"ligh flasing, the "Hold"light disappears. When the light is flashing, the Transmisstion shifting at 1 gear is harder, when the Light is off, everything is fine.I have sent it to garage, but they can not find out using computer. So could anyone tell me how to simply turn off the light when it appear. That maybe at least make me feel good for a while.

the flashing of the hold or the o/d light in the 626 is the OBD for the trans letting the driver know their is a problem. when the light is flashing the gears are going to feel as if they are almost slamming into the gear 1st to 2nd is the worst, this is because the transmission is avoiding the computer and reling on just the hydrolic lifters in the trans. the transmission on the 1993-1997 mazda 626 is not a very good transmission. there is many other people that have had the same problem. I am one of them. Best bet go to a transmission specialist.(I went to AAMCO) you will have to either replace the trans or get it rebuilt. Good luck! any other questions please email me at billy_21915mybluelight.com
