I have a Mazda 323 (1988) 1.6 L and it has been running fine. The other morning I started it up and was messing with my CD player. It clonked out which is no surprise because it usually does that in the morning when its not warmed up. I tried starting it and it wouldn't start.
I thought it was the coil to the distributer so I bought a new one but still the same thing. Its not the starter or battery. I put in new spark plugs last week and I can't figure it out. The spark is getting to the engine though. Any help?

I've got a Mazda 323 1.6i (the B6 engine)
I hade the same problem yesterday.
I discovered that my rotor drive to the distributor(?) was broken.
I found this out, by removing the distributor cap, and the tried to start the engine. if the rotor does do what it's supposed to do (rotate), then perhaps your drive is borken to.
I found the part at a mazda parts store, and I've ordered it. It costs 246SEK, c:a €28.
Hopefully I'll receive the part tomorrow, and I'll fit it tomorrow night.

Christoffer
