1993 Mazda Protege idle issue

my 93 protege (4dr) is having an issue with idleing. The book (Haynes/Chilton) says it should be between 700-800 but when its cold it idles at 1500 and as it warms up drops to 1000 rpm. Which sounds nice and quiet. However, once its all warmed up and im driving along, by pressing the CLUTCH in the rpm drops to about 100, all my warning lights come one, steering gets tough then the lights go out, rpms rise to 900 and steering is easy again. All this is done in a matter of about 30 seconds or less or until I change to they next gear (up or down, either one) whichever is sooner.

I have already put in a new fuel filter, spark plugs, distributor cap & rotor. The engine is a 1.8L SOHC, 5 speed manual. I also have 335,000km if that makes a difference. It just started doing this after i corrected a problem with my Coolant Temputure Sensor with really caused irregular idle all the time and caused my check engine light to come on. After i changed it my sensor is fine.

Could it be the O2 sensor? If so, why doesn't the check englne light tell me this. It says that sensor is fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, on an unrelated issue, im looking for a rear spoiler. Preferrably the factor kind (new or used)
