| My 87 B2000 blower switch doesn't give heat/ac on lower settings.Checked fuses and shop manual-no info.Should I pull blower motor and ck on bench or get a new switch?Anyone else with this problem?

Had this problem with my 93 b2600. The problem is the resistor assembly. Two of the resistors for the lower settings burn out leaving you with only the higher settings. The fix is to buy a new assembly. I would not buy second hand without checking the assembly because I found this problem to be fairly common in older trucks like mine. The hardest part of replacing it is finding the assembly. In mine it is located in the blower housing. I found the easiest way to get at it is to remove the glove box because in the 93's it is located just behind it. Hope this helps.
