help! my gas tank was leaking on this truck so i change it it ran ok for about 5 miles and then started acting like it wasent getting gas . i have change the filter and the fuel pump what else could this be ?

i just had a similar problem on my truck

replaced the fuel pump and filter also

took it to the dealer and they put in on their scanner

i have to replace the computer

this is quite common on the mazda pickup from 89-94

computer only lasts 3-5 years

hope that is not your problem

if so...look for a used one

I had the same proble with my truck! Leaky gas tank , I got a used one from a wrecker. Pulled out the old tank put the new one in. My problem was two out of the five or six hoses, are the same size and i but them on wrong. the truck ran till there was no more fule in the line & filter and died. It might just be that you have the lines on the wrong places
