i drive about 75 miles to get to work. 99% of it is highway driving. after about driving for 25 minutes, i stop at a stop light and before i do, the engine stalls. i have changed the spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. it appears there is a miss in the motor where the rpms drop every 5 seconds or so. but when i start to stop the rpms drop really low and id say about 60% of the time, the engine will stall. in the summer, problably 80% of the time. any suggestions?

Hello!

Just read your message on the Mazda Club website. Although my car is a 1986 323 sedan, I had a similar problem with intermittent stalls. The problem was a missing ground wire. (I kept noticing that I'd get electrical shocks when touching the door handle.) The dealer created a makeshift ground which he attached to the engine. Hope this response helps. Good luck.

M.S.
